Litokol Pixel 3D is a professional sanitary silicone sealant, here in Terra di Borgogna (29) color. You can use it to seal permanently elastic joints between tiles, stoneware, slabs, and mosaics, and at the connections around baths, showers, sinks, and kitchen countertops. The sealant comes in a 300 ml cartridge and is ready to use, without primer.
Color & Atmosphere
Terra di Borgogna (29) is a deep reddish-brown, the color of Burgundian earth. It is the warmest of the dark shades and works well with dark terracotta.
Product & Application
Pixel 3D cures under the influence of air humidity and then remains elastic, so that the joint absorbs movement instead of cracking. The product is intended for floor and wall, indoors and outdoors, even under heavy use conditions.
- Ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, and large slabs
- Ceramic and glass mosaics
- Terracotta, clinker, and reconstituted stone
- Glass, aluminum, and window frames
- Bathrooms, showers, kitchens, and wet rooms
- Swimming pools, fountains, terraces, balconies, and facades
- Expansion joints, also under heavy load
Observe the limit: do not use Pixel 3D in contact with marble or natural stone. Also avoid contact with bituminous and plasticizing materials such as butyl, EPDM, neoprene, and bituminous or insulating felt. The sealant is not paintable.
Substrate & Compatibility
The joint must be clean, dry, and grease-free. If you are repairing an existing joint, remove the old sealant completely before re-applying – especially if it has been affected by mold, as sealing over an affected joint will not solve the problem.
- Suitable for underfloor heating
- Adheres without primer to glass, ceramic, and aluminum
- Not for marble, natural stone, or porous materials
- Not in combination with bituminous or plasticizing materials
The number of tile types and substrates is so large that the manufacturer always recommends a test piece before starting the definitive joint.
Processing
Screw the plastic nozzle onto the cartridge and cut it diagonally to the desired width. Place the cartridge in the sealant gun and spray the sealant into the joint in one continuous motion, without trapping air. Finish the joint within the open time – after that, the outside will close and the sealant can no longer be smoothed.
- Recommended processing temperature between +15 °C and +25 °C
- Skin formation after approximately 15 minutes
- Cures approximately 2 to 3 mm per 24 hours
- Lightly loadable after 24 hours, fully in use after 5 days
- Ensure good ventilation during curing
The curing time increases with the thickness of the joint: a deep joint takes longer than a shallow one. Avoid contact with solvents while the sealant is still curing, and store the cartridge in a cool, dry place out of the sun in warm weather. An opened cartridge should be used within a reasonable time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many meters of joint can I get from one cartridge? That depends on the size of the joint. For a joint 6 mm wide and 5 mm deep, 300 ml will cover about 10 meters; for 10 mm wide and 10 mm deep, it will be about 2 meters.
Can I use Pixel 3D on marble or natural stone? No. The technical data sheet excludes contact with marble and natural stone. For these materials, a neutral-curing sealant is the appropriate choice.
Can I apply over an old, damaged sealant joint? No. The old sealant must be completely removed before re-applying. A new layer over a damaged joint will leave the underlying problem unresolved.
When can the shower be used again? After 24 hours, the joint is lightly loadable and fully usable after five days. For a deep joint, it takes longer, as the sealant cures approximately 2 to 3 mm per 24 hours.
