Litokol Starlike Pro is a sixth-generation decorative epoxy grout, here in the colour Calce di Marrakech (21). It's a two-component product: the coloured gel and the polymer hardener are together in one 2.5 kg bucket. You can use it to grout tiles, mosaics, and natural stone, and the same product can also be used as tile adhesive.
Colour & Atmosphere
Calce di Marrakech (21) has the warm, sandy tone of lime plaster. It pairs well with zellige, terracotta, and anything with a handmade character.
Product & Application
Starlike Pro is intended for grout joints from 1 to 20 mm, on floors and walls, indoors and outdoors. The cured grout is waterproof, stain-resistant, and UV-resistant. The colour comes from coloured quartz and glass microspheres instead of chemical pigments, which ensures the colour remains stable.
- Ceramic and glass mosaics, ceramic tiles, and porcelain stoneware
- Large-format tiles and laminated stoneware slabs
- Marble, granite, natural stone, and reconstituted stone
- Terracotta and clinker
- Wet rooms, bathrooms and showers, swimming pools and fountains, spas and hammams
- Terraces, balconies, facades, and industrial floors
For natural stone, polished porcelain stoneware, mosaics, and porous surfaces, the manufacturer always prescribes making a test joint first. This helps determine whether the material discolours or is difficult to clean.
Substrate & Compatibility
As grout, Starlike Pro is applied to joints that are dry, dust-free, and open for at least two-thirds of the tile thickness. If used as an adhesive, the substrate must be load-bearing, free of loose particles, grease, oil, paint, wax, and rising damp, according to UNI 11493-1.
- Screeds, levelling layers, and plasterwork
- Gypsum and anhydrite
- Concrete, cellular concrete, and fiber cement boards
- Existing tiles, metal, and wood
- Underfloor heating, waterproofing systems, and decoupling membranes
For elastic sealing of expansion, control, and connection joints, do not use epoxy grout but a sealant from the Pixel 3D line.
Processing
Cut open the hardener bag and empty its entire contents into the bucket with component A. Mix with a slow-speed mixer (approximately 300 rpm) until a creamy, lump-free mass is formed, scraping the sides and bottom of the bucket clean. Manual mixing is not recommended, as an uneven mixture can compromise the final strength.
- Process between +10 °C and +30 °C
- Working time of over 90 minutes in the bucket
- Apply with the Starlike rubber trowel, diagonally to the grout direction
- Clean while the product is fresh, with white felt and then a damp sponge
- Light foot traffic after 24 hours, fully in use after 5 days, swimming pools after 7 days
Remove residue from the tile surface within 24 hours and no later than 48 hours, using Starlike Care for floors or Starlike Wall Care for walls. After that, the product can only be removed mechanically. Do not apply if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours, and protect the work from direct sunlight and strong drafts for the first 12 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much Starlike Pro do I need? Consumption depends on the tile size, tile thickness, and joint width. Use the calculation aid on the product page or Litokol's consumption calculator. For adhesive, calculate 1.1 kg/m² with a 2 mm notch, increasing to 3.5 kg/m² with 10 mm.
Can I use this grout over underfloor heating? Yes. Underfloor heating is listed in the technical data sheet as an allowed substrate, and the cured grout is resistant from −20 °C to +100 °C. Do observe the normal waiting times: 24 hours for light foot traffic and 5 days for full use.
Why do I need to do a test for natural stone? Natural stone, mosaics, and polished stoneware vary greatly by origin and production. Litokol therefore prescribes a test joint, so you can see in advance whether the surface discolours or is difficult to clean.
What if it's colder than 10 degrees? Do not process the product if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours. If working around that limit, Litokol advises adding EpoxyGel booster: one 50-gram sachet per 2.5 kg, two sachets per 5 kg.
