Litokol Starlike Finishes Gold is a colour effect that you mix into Starlike EVO as a third component. The 75-gram sachet is pre-dosed for a 2.5 kg bucket, so you don't need to weigh it. It is therefore not a self-contained grout but an additive to a bucket that you buy separately.
Colour & atmosphere
Gold adds a warm golden glitter to the joint. It is a small detail that only becomes noticeable when the light hits it correctly — which is exactly the intention.

Note the limits. Do not use a bucket with this effect outdoors — on terraces, balconies, facades and in swimming pools — as the additives are poorly resistant to UV radiation. Also do not use it on surfaces that come into contact with aggressive chemicals, such as industrial floors.
Substrate & compatibility
The substrate requirements are those of Starlike EVO itself: the joints must be clean, dust-free and open across the full tile thickness, and the tile adhesive must be completely dry and cured.

The effect is most pronounced on a surface where daylight or artificial light falls. In a dark corner, you will see little of it.
Processing
First, mix the hardener (part B) through the coloured paste (part A) of Starlike EVO, using a slow-rotating mixer, until a lump-free mass is formed. Then carefully add this sachet and gently mix it until it is evenly distributed.
- Pour carefully: the powder is light and easily creates dust
- Mix at low speed, otherwise the product will splatter
- Apply with a rubber grout float, diagonally to the direction of the joint
- Most favourable between +18 °C and +23 °C
- Clean while the product is fresh
Do not add water or solvent to make it easier to spread. Below +10 °C, the mixture becomes thick and difficult to process, and curing then takes much longer; do not start if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours. In warm weather, quickly spread the product over the surface, as the reaction heat in the bucket shortens the processing time.

Do I also need a bucket of Starlike EVO for this? Yes. This is an additive, not a grout itself. The sachet is pre-dosed for a 2.5 kg bucket, which you order separately.
Does this change my grout colour? The intensity of the original colour does not change.
Can this be used on my balcony or terrace? No. These additives are poorly resistant to UV radiation and are therefore only intended for indoor use. For outdoor use, use a regular EVO colour without an effect.
How do I prevent the powder from creating dust? Pour it slowly into the already mixed bucket and keep the mixer speed low. The powder is very light, so pouring quickly or mixing hard will cause it to swirl up.
