Litokol Starlike Finishes Shining Gold is a color effect that you mix into Starlike EVO as a third component. The 100-gram sachet is pre-dosed for a 2.5 kg bucket, so you don't have to weigh it. It is therefore not a self-contained grout but an addition to a bucket that you buy separately.
Color & ambiance
Shining Gold is distinctly gold, fuller than the gold glitter. On a small surface — a niche, a kitchen backsplash — it comes into its own best.
Product & application
Important: the metallic series works exclusively in combination with Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. If you mix Shining Gold with a colored bucket, you will not get the effect you are paying for. So, order the Neutro bucket with it.

Mind the limits. Do not use a bucket with this effect outdoors — on terraces, balconies, facades, and in swimming pools — because the additives are poorly resistant to UV radiation. Also, do not use it on surfaces that come into contact with aggressive chemicals, such as industrial floors.
Substrate & compatibility
The requirements for the substrate are those of Starlike EVO itself: the joints must be clean, dust-free and open over the full tile thickness, and the tile adhesive must be completely dry and cured.

The effect is strongest on a surface where daylight or artificial light falls. In a dark corner, you will see little of it.
Processing
First, mix the hardener (part B) with the colored paste (part A) of Starlike EVO, using a slow-speed mixer, until a lump-free mass. Then carefully add this sachet and mix gently until it is evenly distributed.
- Pour carefully: the powder is light and easily scatters
- Mix at low speed, otherwise the product will splatter
- Apply with a rubber grout float, diagonally to the joint direction
- Most favorable between +18 °C and +23 °C
- Clean while the product is fresh
Do not add water or solvent to make it easier to spread. Below +10 °C, the mixture becomes thick and difficult to process, and curing takes much longer; do not start if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours. In warm weather, quickly spread the product over the surface, as the reaction heat in the bucket shortens the processing time.

Do I also need a bucket of Starlike EVO for this? Yes. This is an additive, not a grout in itself. The sachet is pre-dosed for a 2.5 kg bucket, which you order separately.
Can I mix this with a colored bucket? No. The metallic series is designed for Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. With a colored bucket, you will not get the metallic effect.
Can this also be used on my balcony or terrace? No. These additives are poorly resistant to UV radiation and are therefore only intended for indoor use. For outdoor use, use a regular EVO color without an effect.
How do I prevent the powder from scattering? Pour it slowly into the already mixed bucket and keep the mixer speed low. The powder is very light, so fast pouring or hard mixing will cause it to scatter.
