Litokol Starlike Finishes Platinum is a color effect that you mix into Starlike EVO as a third component. The 200-gram sachet is pre-dosed for a 5 kg bucket, so you don't have to weigh it. It is not a standalone grout but an additive to a bucket that you buy separately.
Color & atmosphere
Platinum gives the grout a cool, silver-gray metallic sheen. With white and gray tile work, this creates a sleek, almost industrial look.
Product & application
Important: the metallic range only works in combination with Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. If you mix Platinum into a colored bucket, you will not achieve the effect you are paying for. So, order the Neutro bucket with it.

Substrate & compatibility
The substrate requirements are those of Starlike EVO itself: the joints must be clean, dust-free, and open across the full tile thickness, and the tile adhesive must be completely dry and cured.

The effect is most pronounced on a surface where daylight or artificial light falls. In a dark corner, you will see little of it.
Processing
First, mix the hardener (part B) into the colored paste (part A) of Starlike EVO, using a slow-speed mixer, until a lump-free mass is formed. Then carefully pour in this sachet and gently mix it until it is evenly distributed.
- Pour carefully: the powder is light and easily disperses
- Mix at low speed, otherwise the product will splatter
- Apply with a rubber grout float, diagonally to the joint direction
- Most favorable between +18 °C and +23 °C
- Clean while the product is fresh
Do not add water or solvent to make it easier to spread. Below +10 °C, the mixture becomes thick and difficult to work with, and curing takes much longer; do not start if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours. In warm weather, spread the product quickly over the surface, as the reaction heat in the bucket shortens the working time.

Do I also need a bucket of Starlike EVO for this? Yes. This is an additive, not a grout in itself. The sachet is pre-dosed for a 5 kg bucket, which you order separately.
Can I mix this into a colored bucket? No. The metallic range is designed for Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. With a colored bucket, you will not achieve the metallic effect.
Can this also be used on my balcony or terrace? No. These additives have poor resistance to UV radiation and are therefore only intended for indoor use. For outdoor use, use a regular EVO color without effect.
How do I prevent the powder from dusting? Pour it slowly into the already mixed bucket and keep the mixer speed low. The powder is very light, so fast pouring or hard mixing will cause it to swirl up.
