Litokol Starlike Finishes Rust is a color effect that you mix into Starlike EVO as a third component. The 100-gram sachet is pre-dosed for a 2.5 kg bucket, so you don't have to weigh it. It is not a stand-alone grout but an additive to a bucket that you buy separately.
Color & atmosphere
Rust is a dull reddish-brown with a weathered appearance, as if the metal has been there for years. It works well with concrete-look and industrial interiors.
Product & application
Important: the metallic range only works in combination with Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. If you mix Rust with a colored bucket, you will not get the effect you paid for. So, order the Neutro bucket along with it.

Pay attention to the limitations. Do not use a bucket with this effect outdoors — on terraces, balconies, facades, and in swimming pools — as the additives have poor resistance to UV radiation. Also, do not use it on surfaces that come into contact with aggressive chemicals, such as industrial floors.
Substrate & compatibility
The requirements for the substrate are those of Starlike EVO itself: the joints must be clean, dust-free, open for the full tile thickness, and the tile adhesive must be completely dry and cured.

The effect is most pronounced on a surface where daylight or artificial light falls. In a dark corner, you will see little of it.
Processing
First, mix the hardener (part B) with the colored paste (part A) of Starlike EVO, using a slow-speed mixer, until a lump-free mass is obtained. Then, carefully add this sachet and gently mix it until it is evenly distributed.
- Pour carefully: the powder is light and easily stirs up
- Mix at low speed, otherwise the product will splash
- Apply with a rubber float, diagonally to the direction of the joint
- Most favorable between +18 °C and +23 °C
- Clean while the product is fresh
Do not add water or solvent to make it easier to spread. Below +10 °C, the mixture becomes thick and difficult to work with, and curing takes much longer; do not start if the temperature drops below +10 °C within 24 hours. In warm weather, spread the product quickly over the surface, as the reaction heat in the bucket shortens the working time.

Can I mix this with a colored bucket? No. The metallic range is designed for Starlike EVO 113 Neutro. With a colored bucket, you will not achieve the metallic effect.
Can I use this on my balcony or terrace? No. These additives have poor resistance to UV radiation and are therefore only intended for indoor use. For outdoor use, use a regular EVO color without effect.
