Litokol PowerGel is a tile adhesive in class C2TE according to EN 12004 and ISO 13007 in the color Ultra Bianco, in a 20 kg bag. Third-generation duo-polymeric gel, reinforced with quartz microspheres.
Product & Application
The class indicates the intended use of this adhesive. C2 stands for improved cementitious adhesive, T for reduced slip, and E for extended open time.
Among C2TE adhesives, this one offers the longest working time: over an hour of open time. This is useful when working alone and wanting to finish a large area in one go.
- Ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware
- Natural stone
- Adhesive layers from 1 to 20 mm
- Floor and wall, indoors and outdoors
- Underfloor heating
Where does this adhesive fit in the range? Lighter than this adhesive is X-Fix in class C1TE. If you are dealing with unstable natural stone or a substrate where cracks are a risk, choose PowerGel Pro in class R2T.
Substrate & Compatibility
According to UNI 11493-1, the substrate must be mechanically sound and free of loose parts, grease, oil, paint, wax, and rising damp.
- Cement screeds: cure for at least 28 days
- Cement-based plaster: at least one week per centimeter thickness
- Concrete, provided it is sufficiently cured
- Existing tile work
- Underfloor heating
- Gypsum and anhydrite only after priming
If you are unsure whether a substrate is suitable, always create a test patch first. The number of tile and substrate types is too vast to exclude everything in advance.
Application
First, pour water into a clean bucket and slowly add the powder while mixing until a smooth, lump-free paste is formed. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes, then mix briefly again. Apply a thin layer with the smooth side of the trowel and immediately comb it with the notched side.
- Mixing water 31 to 34%, approximately 6.2 to 6.8 liters per 20 kg bag
- Maturation time of the mixture 5 minutes
- Apply between +5 °C and +35 °C
- Working time 6 to 8 hours
- Open time more than 60 minutes
- Grout after 3 hours on walls, 12 hours on floors
Walkable after 12 hours and fully load-bearing after 5 days, swimming pools after 14 days. Do not add more water once bonding has started, and ensure a fully filled adhesive bed outdoors or under high load. Clean tools with water while the product is fresh; after that, it can only be cleaned mechanically.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does class C2TE mean? C2 stands for an improved cementitious adhesive, T for reduced slip, and E for extended open time.
How much water goes into a bag? 31 to 34%, approximately 6.2 to 6.8 liters per 20 kg bag. Maintain this ratio: too much water reduces the final strength.
When can I grout? After 3 hours on walls, 12 hours on floors. The work is walkable after 12 hours and fully load-bearing after 5 days, swimming pools after 14 days.
Is this the right adhesive for my job? Lighter than this adhesive is X-Fix in class C1TE. If you are dealing with unstable natural stone or a substrate where cracks are a risk, choose PowerGel Pro in class R2T.
